Dome of the Rock 'erased' from Temple Mount
Religious movement’s Tisha B’Av pamphlet shows Temple Mount minus Muslim sites; group chairman says hopes al-Aqsa will be obliterated altogether, not just through Photoshop software

<snip>

The northern branch of the Islamic Movement claimed in response that the graphic manipulation of the picture was incitement.
The movement’s spokesman, Attorney Zahi Nujidat, told Ynet that he was worried that all the synagogues would adopt this kind of material which implicitly calls for the erasure of the al-Aqsa Mosque

2. And there are Palestinian maps that don't show Israel.
Assholes on both sides of the debate.

4. Thanks for keeping us posted on negative news about Israel without context
That this was in a pamphlet put out by religious fanatics.

6. Same response to the same nonsense
Some DUers seem to have a fetish to post news about Israel all the time, and just get all just excited whenever any Israelis and/or Jews do anything. If there was someone always posting standalone clips of "Arab Muslim somewhere says something offensive", that would be equally stupid, or "Black person somewhere commits crime", etc.

7. You said "without context"
Edited on Sat Aug-16-08 09:05 PM by azurnoir
What context is criteria for you? This is the I/P forum and if you notice there are threads here like the one you you mentioned, however I did not see and context comments on those. Any thread on any forum here is to some degree "stand alone" or are threads on some religious nuts in Israel somehow different?

9. The context is that this group is a bunch of irrelevant nothings.
As I said in an earlier post. So what?

8. So what?
These guys are marginalized powerless crackpots. Every country has them in one form or another. Who cares what they think. I care about the people with power to affect the situation on the ground. You want to talk about the settlers? Fine. The Israeli government? Fair game. There is enough to critique Israel about without dredging up this silliness. Don't you think that this post looks like merely an attempt to post anything bad about Israel that comes to hand, whether its meaningful or not?

10. Pehaps you have not noticed or simply choose to ignore
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 04:19 PM by azurnoir
that in light of recent events such as the Yeshiva murders and bulldozer attacks groups such as this are gaining support in Israel and in Jerusalem in particular, so the post is hardly "without context".

Not to mention it is from ynet an Israeli publication, if it is so without context why did they publish it, because they are antiIsrael?

11. Does anyone know what the Maayanei Hayeshua Movement is?
I know of Maayanei Hayeshua only as the name of an Israeli hospital - presumably it's not them!

Anyway, an idiotic action.
