JERUSALEM (Reuters) - We know where you live.

That was the unmistakable message of the release by Israeli authorities on Tuesday of a map pinpointing what it said were homes and offices of Palestinian militant leaders in Damascus.

The army said the map was intended to illustrate the extent of the "Terror Network in the Damascus Region." It came on the same day that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Israel would attack its enemies "any place, and in any way."

<snip>

It also shows 10 sites in Damascus the army says are the political, military and in some cases media offices for Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Fatah and the PFLP-GC.

A Palestinian official, who refused to give his location or affiliation, said: "This step shows that Israel plans to press ahead with its assassinations policy and to give it an international dimension."

Ariel Sharon is as much a terrorist as his enemies.

10. Not really
But now I see what you mean by "balance": blaming the aggressor and victim equally!

BTW, would it be too much of a cheap shot to point out that this isn't uniting Dems, or just more balance?

are continually interchanging.

By the way, "cheap shots" come from feeble minds. I have no right to judge you in such a manner. Just as you have no right to question my motives.

16. Well, if you want to take the REAL long view of things
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 07:44 PM by Fozzledick
We're all just concurrent manifestations of the same unique eternal conciousness, whatever we do to others we've ultimately done to ourselves, and when this transitory life is over we'll look back and laugh at how silly we were.

But meanwhile, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia continue to finance and supply terrorist groups to act as their proxys in their ongoing war to destroy Israel, Arafat keeps using these groups to deliberately sabatoge any possibility of a negotiated peace settlement in pursuit of his dream of making himself the Caliph of Jerusalem, the "useful idiots" they recruit keep blowing themselves up to murder innocent women and children, and posters on here keep blaming it all on the Israelis for defending themselves. I find this all very annoying. :crazy:

BTW: 1. My view is that easy targets attract cheap shots
2. I reserve the right to question anyone's motives, especially my own!

(edit: omission)

It's grape, I put some extra sugar in it.
There, that's good. Here now just hold my hand.
Soon we'll be with the "others" in the ship behind
the comet.

8. More suicide bombers just generated ...
<snip>
"Do they think this will scare a group of people who are willing to die for their cause? If so, this is where they are very wrong. I am dead since 1948 and nothing scares me or any Palestinian man, woman or child," he added.

"This is a very cheap form of blackmail..."
<snip>

No hope, nothing to live for...take some out when you die since you are dead already.

Maybe they should change the stance of suicide bombers...instead of taking lives with them... They should gather into a VERY open area where a lot of people will see them in Israel and do the joint suicide pact thing where blood is spilled everywhere while the media looks on and captures...with statement that this is what Israel is doing to the Palestinians...Leaving us with no hope, no security, no reason to live therefore, our blood is in your land and on your hands?

Maybe then it would change. An eye for an eye doesn't nor has it nor will it ever work.

I don't know what the answer is, but I'm sure there is one. Why does junior talk only to selected leaders?

14. Belongs in Israeli/Palestinian Affairs - moving thread
"Due to continuing problems, discussion of Israeli/Palestinian issues is limited to the Israeli/Palestinian Affairs forum, and is governed by a special set of rules which are available in that forum. If a discussion is primarily about U.S. policy in Israeli/Palestinian affairs, it is still allowed in other forums. Discussion of other Middle East issues is also allowed. If a thread is on a different topic, but later goes off-topic and becomes a discussion of Israeli/Palestinian issues, the moderators may move the thread to the Foreign Affairs/National Security forum.http://www.democraticunderground.com/forums/rules.html#...
