Spanish journalists get beating after raising peace banner

Four Spanish journalists and peace activists were beaten Sunday by gunmen belonging to Abdullah Shridi’s Esbat al-Nour.

Eyewitnesses at Sidon’s Ain al-Hilweh camp said the four journalists proceeded into the camp wearing peace T-shirts and raising a banner for peace.

Upon reaching the Safsaf area, where Shridi and his group operate, the journalists were intercepted and beaten severely. Witnesses said their shirts and banner were shredded and their cameras destroyed.
Following the incident, reports on the whereabouts of the foreign journalists circulated, with some sources indicating they were still in the camp, but eyewitnesses confirmed that the four Spaniards had left the camp in a taxi soon after the attack.

You cant make this stuff up.

Too bad we'll never know what those 4 pulverized people
are thinking now.

3. Perhaps they wonder
Who wants peace and who does not.

4. They were lucky
to escape with their lives. You can't oppose the status quo in Lebanon.

5. Esbat al-Nour
for a comparison, in the past this group has also gunned down Fatah, Hamas and Hezbollah fighters (and various other factions that aren't Esbat al-Nour) for being "too moderate".

(going through the older stories since DU2 came into being and recognized the group's name and your feigned surprise)
