Israel wants war on Iran
Olmert tells American Jewish groups in LA, "If Iran achieves the ability to produce nuclear weapons, as we know it is seeking to do, we will enter a new era of instability unlike any the world has ever seen," he said. "We cannot afford to wait."

<snip>

"A coalition of moderate Arab countries can and must unite their common interest in preventing Iran from undermining stability in the Middle East," he said, without naming those states.

<snip>

Olmert praised Bush for taking the lead in "preventing Iran's nuclearization" and said he spoke with the president on the issue at length.

1. Israel wanted the
war on Iraq too. The would rather US blood be spilled instead of Israeli.

2. Sane people would not make war or support war. War is insanity.
Israel and the US should be disarmed so we could have peace.

10. And we should abolish police departments so there will be no criminals
I'm antiwar, but not anti-logic.

Peace.

3. Israeli Neo-Cons Seem to Want War as Much as The Neo-Cons In the US
I hope Israeli's and other government insiders put a lid on stupid before this Neo-Knob outfit brings about a self-fulfilled prophecy.

4. That's the sad part, the "self-fulfilling prophecy"...

don't they realize that calling for war may be putting Israel at much greater risk? I fear the tension in the Middle East must be pushing some over the edge.

6. And the majority of people in Israel don't want it either.
How do we keep getting governments who want to fight wars all the time - in the US, Israel and Britian?

7. This is What Angers Me Even More
is that people are being led into destruction by such a small minority.

9. So, like you have some polls or something . .
. . that shows that the majority of Israelis were against Israel's war against Lebanon to stop the missiles and get back the two kidnapped IDF?

Or some poll that shows that Israel should not go into Gaza to remove the missile launchers and those who are using them?

I haven't seen those polls. Do you have a link?

5. Their wonderful policy of "Let's you and him fight."
Thought they'd gotten enough of war over there last summer. Guess not.

8. More unrealistic twaddle from Olmert.
He's screwed, and it's his own fault, his unnecessary war in Lebanon "emboldened Iran".

12. So...war with Iran will make everything nice n' stable, right?
Is this guy an idiot, or does he just think that all Americans are idiots?

13. The aftermath of wars . .
. . are always the most stable periods in history in terms of conflict. People are too busy burying their dead and rebuilding their cities.

15. Interesting perspective
Reminds me of ye olde, "We had to destroy the village in order to save it."

Do you think attacking Iran is a good idea?
