As it is, I think the US - and hence the global economy - is in for a rude awakening, as oil prices continue to soar.
I just read another current Yahoo story, concerning the fact that airlines are cutting flights and raising fares, and several have been chopping jobs by the thousands.
Indeed, the entire "global economy" relies upon the efficacy of shipping and transportation. This is not to mention the fact that the environment is seriously threatened by humans burning fossil fuels.
TIME TO WAKE UP. Business As Usual isn't gonna get it done. I just hope it isn't too late.
