Ohio lawmakers vote to allow guns in bars, arenas
http://www.stamfordadvocate.com/news/article/Ohio-lawmakers-vote-to-allow-guns-in-bars-arenas-1424610.php

Ohio lawmakers have passed a proposal to allow people with concealed-carry permits to take their firearms into many facilities where alcohol is served and consumed, as long as they don't drink.

The Republican (edit: MORAN)-led Ohio House voted 55-39 in favor of the change, and the GOP-(edit: MORAN)led Senate concurred with a vote of 25-7 on Wednesday.

First-term Republican Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik - edit: MORAN) has supported the idea, though his spokesman said Kasich wanted to see details of the final version before deciding whether to sign it.

3. It's a pretty dangerous cocktail they're mixing there.
It could blow the top of one's head off.

Just remember, shots before beer, not the other way around, or else :puke:

5. Except you can't drink while carrying. And this is the same as the law in most states.
You might as well ask why we don't ban people from driving to and from bars.

9. Seems to work fine in other states that allow it already.
Me thinks you are over reacting.

4. In the old Wild West, didn't they require a patron to check their gun at the door?

8. I suppose that would be considered draconian gun laws in today's society.

17. But the bartender kept a double barreled shot gun under the bar.
IOW, he took responsibility for the safety of his patrons.

10. I defend reality.
And the reality is that in areas that have similar laws there was no "blood flowing through the streets" or, in this case, the bars.

Seriously, how many times are folks like you going to have to be shown to be completely wrong on this issue before you start to get that the idiocy is NOT on our side of the table?

14. I'm sure you will post a link to show us the statistics tha show that these laws in other states
are causing problems. I'm confident you will not just disappear and fail to enlighten us with facts.

13. Welcome to the backlash, Jpak
You should move to Nigeria or Jamaica or some other gun free paradise before you aren't able to leave your house anymore in fear of armed law abiding citizens.
