A Huntington Beach man was charged Monday with shooting his father to death after an argument over keeping a gun in their home, prosecutors said.

Jeremy Dwayne Martin, 35, was charged with murder plus a sentencing enhancement for the personal discharge of a firearm causing death. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail pending arraignment.

Prosecutors said Jeremy Martin lived in Huntington Beach with his father, Frederick Martin, 62, who became upset that his son kept a gun in their home, according to a news release from the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

The pair struggled over the gun early Friday morning, and Frederick Martin called 911 and asked Huntington Beach to come to the home and investigate, prosecutors said.

But seriously - guns kill more innocent victims than they do "bad guys" each year.

That the reason I post news stories like this.

7. Even if this is true....
...one does not need to have the "bad guy" die, or even be shot, in order to have a succesful instance of self-defense with a firearm.

So your claim is irrelevent on its face.

9. As was posted numerous times on another thread
He *allegedly* shot his father, he *allegedly* discharged a firearm, he *allegedly* struggled over a gun.

And
