U.S. Uncovers Weapons of Mass Destruction... In Texas
This is a story of weapons of mass destruction. Chemical weapons. Domestic Terrorism. Forged Identifications. And media double standards.

In the Texan town of Tyler law enforcement officials found what hundreds of investigators in Iraq have been looking for months.

A Tyler man named William Krar with ties to white supramacists had built a sodium cynanide bomb. In the words of the Justice Department, the man had developed his own chemical weapons. In addition he had a well-stocked arsenal reportedly with 500,000 rounds of ammunition. He and his wife plead guilty two weeks ago to a series of weapons charges.

According to the Texas TV station CBS 11, this case lead federal officials to launch one of its most extensive investigations of domestic terrorism since the Oklahoma City bombing. Hundreds of subpoenas have been reportedly sent out. Documents seized indicated there may be other co-conspirators across the country. And the threat was deemed great enough to appear in the President’s daily briefing.

But strangely the story is mostly unknown to almost anyone outside of Texas because the national media has all but ignored the story.

National media has finally picked up on this. CNN did a brief report about it which lead me to google which lead me to this week old article.

Anyone care to argue that Krar had a right to do this for "self defense"?

1. Even more to the gun dungeon point
These two white supremacists were in the gun industry while they went about their plot...and didn't particularly stand out as any more crazy than anybody else in that crowd.

Remember that when the RKBA bunch start screaming "you can't judge everybody from these two.": there's no record that anybody in the gun rights crowd said about these two "Well they seem weird and bigoted and dangerous."

Nor did they say that about Tim McVeigh (who logged time on the gun show circuit).

Nor about Buford "Wake up call for America" Furrow...

Randy Weaver? Hell, Randy's an honored guest wherever gunns are sold...never mind that he's a white supremacist crazy.

By the way, these guys were only discovered by chance...

5. I read the link. Where's your basis for stating that they were
in the gun indusrty? I didn't even see a mention of gun shows.

I have no doubt that they attended gun shows, but that's an assumption.

Randy Weaver is OT.

Homemade bombs are a bad thing. Period. Military ordnance is an essential.

Are you going to lump all pro-gunners together with these two? If so, let's lump all the anti-gunners with the lunatic fringe of that movement. Neither is fair to the rest of either group.

9. Cry me a river
First of all, that wasn't my link...

"n April, as Baghdad fell and American soldiers began searching for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, federal officials uncovered a cache of deadly chemicals much closer to home — in the eastern Texas town of Noonday. The stockpile included a fully functional sodium cyanide bomb capable of killing hundreds, as well as neo-Nazi and antigovernment literature, illegal weapons, half a million rounds of ammunition, and more than 100 explosives, including bombs disguised as suitcases.

William Krar, a 62-year-old manufacturer of gun parts and a right-wing extremist who had rented the storage locker in which the cache was found, has pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing a chemical weapon and faces a possible life sentence. Two others — Judith L. Bruey, Mr. Krar's companion, and Edward Feltus, a member of a parmilitary group called the New Jersey Militia — are awaiting sentencing."

The story's been all over progressive websites for a couple weeks.

No record that ANYBODY connected with guns ever got a noseful of these guys and thought they were anything but good old boys...

"Randy Weaver is OT."
Over Time? Occupational Therapist? Open Target? Old Tits?

Randy Weaver is the scum of the earth, and welcome at just about any gun show he strolls into ...

"Randy Weaver will be at the Hilliard Gun show this week end, signing his latest book, and greeting people."

2. Nice pics at 'the Memory Hole' but still no news in mainstream media.

I assume that they are still waiting sentencing since this is the latest on the fbi website, 1 month old.

4. Don't accuse me of 'pimping' for these guys...
Edited on Wed Dec-17-03 08:50 AM by RoeBear
...because I'm not. But what double standard are you referring to? The one that got McVeigh the death penalty or the one that got Weaver's family all shot up.

BTW- Weaver is my favorite kind of racist. He moved to a lilly white state and holed up in the most remote part of it so that he wouldn't have to deal with my kind.

7. ROTFLMAO!!!!
Those pics...TOO funny!

The spools on the left with the green and yellow wire? They're USGI surplus. I've got a bunch of it. I use it to keep my christmas trees from falling over when the cats climb on them. Since it's green, it doesn't show up like silver or black wire.

Thanks for the smile!!! :)

8. My grocery store sells chemical weapons then....
because everything you need to produce one is on the household cleanser aisle.

I'll have to make sure I don't possess bleach and one other generic cleanser type at the same time....

10. Who needs store bought chemicals
With enough urine and aspirin you can get the job done.

(No. I won't tell you how. You'll have to discuss it with your own explosives guy.)
