Grand jury finds woman justifiably killed intruder
SCHROEPPEL, N.Y. (AP) - A grand jury finds a central New York woman was justified in fatally shooting a man who ransacked her home in October.

Deanna Candee of Schroeppel (SCROO'-puhl) in Oswego County was cleared of wrongdoing in the death of Timothy Hartigan, whom she found inside her home after returning from a shopping trip.

Deputies said Hartigan had ransacked her home and attacked Candee. Her son pulled Hartigan off of her and she grabbed her revolver and shot the intruder.

Another case of "gun madness" that ability of an inanimate object to control the minds of humans.

3. He was probably "emboldened" by his proximity to her revolver
after all, he had to be pulled off of her. Like Sauron's ring, the gun probably emanated eeeeeeeeeeeevil rays that caused the man's behavior, even though he probably didn't know it was there.

Another innocent assailant dies because of evil guns.

5. Preventable.
Sad chain of events, apparently schizophrenic but wasn't taking his meds.

Cody says his dad Timothy was diagnosed with schizophrenia ten years ago. I think the voices told him that something was going on in that house. I think that he thought the woman was doing something wrong or that she was in danger and he needed to be there.
Cody says his dad walked just about everywhere he went and that's most likely how he got to the home. I think he just walked up 57 and that was the house.
