I know, a lot of people will ignore the rating and keep claiming "NRA=GOP", but there it is.

one of the best predictors, REGARDLESS of party,in this last election was the candidates NRA rating.

6. Maybe a little (or a lot) less than 90%?
In the 2008 election they donated about 7 times more $ to Dems than the Brady Bunch did.

They still donate more to the GOP ... but the decision is strictly on their stance and record on the 2nd amendment. If they don't have a record to judge them on or haven't taken any public position on the 2nd amendment they are asked to fill out a questionnaire. Pretty much the same way NARAL and other single, focused issue groups do. If they don't answer the questions, they get no rating.

Hopefully, as we continue to elect smarter people we'll have more of them supported by the NRA.

Thats why they supported my rep, Debbie Halvorson (A rated) too, over her GOP rival Ozinga (C rated). She'll have no problem cashing any checks form the NRA-ILA next year when she runs again.

The GOP runs most of the gun control movement - let them take the heat for it.
