One online gun dealer sold the guns to 3 mass killers: Gym killer, VA tech and NIU killers
That's 3 + 32 + 5 = 40 deaths excluding the killers' deaths.

Wis. dealer sold gun extras to health club shooter

By TODD RICHMOND (AP) 5 hours ago

MADISON, Wis. An online weapons dealer who sold a gun or accessories to three mass killers, including a man who opened fire at a Pittsburgh-area health club this week, said Friday that any of the shooters could have just as easily found what they wanted at a Wal-Mart or another store.

Eric Thompson, whose company TGSCOM Inc. last year sold an empty Glock 9 mm magazine and magazine loading apparatus to George Sodini, the man who shot up a Collier Township, Pa., health club on Tuesday, said the sale was legal and his company did nothing wrong.

"The firearms industry and firearms dealers are lambasted by the media and by politicians all the time and very often nobody stands up and says 'hey, we didn't do anything wrong,'" Thompson said. "I'm ... being penalized by doing a good job and employing a lot of people and selling sporting goods ... I'm not some backwoods guy just making to look a buck off of tragedy."

Thompson's company, which is based in Green Bay and employs about 40 people, also sold a gun or accessories to the shooters in the Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois University attacks.

Seung-Hui Cho used a .22-caliber handgun bought from TGSCOM in his attack at Virginia Tech in April 2007, in which 32 people were killed. Stephen Kazmierczak, who killed five people in an NIU classroom before killing himself in February 2008, bought two empty 9 mm Glock magazines and a Glock holster through a TGSCOM site.

1. They have some good deals..
I have many friends that order goodies from them quite regularly, they have never had a problem with the goods that they sell.

I have not ordered anything from him because, I use other suppliers for accessories.

If the MSM start attacking him, I will purchase somthing.

Edited on Sat Aug-08-09 04:05 AM by Lagomorph
Clarification: We did NOT sell the murderer ANY weapons. There has been much misinformation regarding this in the news. This information was posted by a TV station in Pittsburgh that hacked this murderer's email address and/or website.

"Sodini purchased two firearm accesories, a Glock magazine and a Glock magazine loader, in April 2008 from a TGSCOM, Inc. website, http://www.shotgunworks.com /."

I've never gone to their website before. I dunno what's going on, but I'll be following this for updates.

They are a large accessory site for Glocks among other firearms.

Everything else you mentioned is available in any large town in the US, and from hundreds of online dealers, even on eBay, but not from Walmart - they don't sell handgun stuff such as magazines or holsters. Many don't sell any guns at all.
FWIW, you can buy guns online, but they MUST be transferred through a local dealer with a federal license and all the standard paperwork and background check completed, same as if you bought your own personal Glock from the dealer's shelf.

5. What a moronic statement.
If a man kills his wife with a knife purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond, do you think they take pride in it?

This is a large shooting supply company. They have tens of thousands of customers.

How is the fact that three of their customers have gone off the deep end and killed people a reflection on the company?

12. Get a grip on yourself.
In none of the three incidents, did TGSCOM/Thompson provide/sell any firearm of any sort to the killers... yet the media and bed wetters at the Brady Campaign are making it appear as if he's running an open air arms bazaar.

Thompson committed no crime, nor is he responsible/guilty/culpable/accountable of knowingly aiding or abetting a crime.

It's bad enough we have to contend with the gun grabbers bleating about regulating firearms sales, but when they start pointing accusatory fingers about magazine, holster and mag loader sales, then they've gone off the deep end more than I had previously thought.

You hate guns so much, you're willing to endorse faith-promoting rumor, and when it is *demonstrated* to be untrue
you insult people and accuse them of "rationalizing the murders of four dozen people".

Last time I read something like this, Sarah Palin was ranting about "death panels".

BTW: Cho, the Virginia Tech shooter, bought his guns at a shop, not online. Feel free to insult me for pointing out your 'mistake'

Name what item was sold that should have had a background check, but didn't.

Name who couldn't pass a check and still got controlled items.

49. Ever hear of the Gun Control Act of 1968?
Edited on Sun Aug-09-09 06:16 AM by Euromutt
The GCA of 1968 made it illegal, among other thing, to sell guns by mail order. You cannot, strictly speaking, buy a firearm online in the way you would, say, buy DVDs off Amazon; what you can do is order a firearm to be delivered to a federal firearms licensee (FFL, i.e. licensed dealer) in your state of residence, but that FFL is still going to have you fill out an ATF form 4473 and run a NICS background check on you before he allows you to take possession of the firearm. Ordering a firearm from a seller online (like Impact Guns http://www.impactguns.com/store / or Davidson's http://www.galleryofguns.com/Genie/Default.aspx ) does not allow you to circumvent the normal legal requirements for purchasing a firearm.

ETA that online retailers will not ship parts, accessories or ammunition to jurisdictions in which the item in question is illegal. Thus, online ammunition sellers will not ship hollow-point ammunition to New Jersey; they will not ship any ammunition to Illinois (which requires a Firearm Owner's ID card to be shown when purchasing ammunition); accessory retailers will not ship magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds to California, Massachusetts, Hawaii or any other state with a ban on "high-capacity" magazines; etc. etc.

Guilt by association. Whatever. The author knew full well that in two instances the guns were not purchased from that site, and in the VA shooters case, the .22 was legally purchased with a qualifying background check because WV's reporting of those adjudicated mentally unfit failed to flag Cho as a prohibited buyer.

This article is a dishonest, vicious attemtp to smear a business that has done nothing wrong whatsoever. And you can fucking bet the BATFE and the FBI have been so far up the owner's ass they could check his teeth for cavities, and they found nothing irregular.

Edit: you want to smear and attack some fuckwit that deserved it, attack the shithead that owned Bullseye Shooter Supply down in Tacoma, which illegally supplied the AR-15 used by the 'DC Sniper', and 'lost' dozens if not hundreds of firearms. A prime motherfucker if ever I saw one.

Love them "analogies".

If people were using cars to commit murder, not to mention mass murder ... and in all the overwhelming majority of robberies and assaults where no vehicle was used to get away at all ... maybe you'd get some traction.

Funny how the word "homicide" -- let's be really clear and talk about intentional homicide; you know, murder -- is missing from one side of your equation, ain't it?

50. For fuck's sake,
this is absurd. I can't decide whether to unrec because of how ridiculous and blatantly misleading the original post is; or to recommend it because of how ridiculous and blatantly misleading the original post is. I think I actually want this to stay up top and active, so that as many people as possible can see a textbook example of...well, of a lie. This seems to me like the polar opposite of the famous "anyone who wants to should be able to carry anywhere they want at any time" line. If anyone posted that crap we'd be all over them as well.

There are dealers who do things illegally. Find their stories and rip them multiple brand spankin' new assholes.
This guy not only didn't do anything illegal, he didn't even do what the OP accused him of.

Ok, I decided. Recommended!
