American fights for his 'right' to be a Zulu
Sitting in a small flat perched on a hill in the semi-rural outskirts of Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal, listening to this tall man with an interesting angular face, speaking in a rich southern drawl, it sounded - to say the least - an extraordinary request.

But then virtually everything about ShakaZulu Assegai VII is extraordinary, not the least the fact that he was born and raised in Oklahoma, and that the only passion in his life is to be a Zulu.

With the determination of an ancient warring impi he has taken the matter to the High Court, pleading to be allowed to "live and die" in the kingdom of the great Zulu warriors within walking distance of where the bones of King Shaka lie.
