When Paul Ross Evans was arrested in April and accused of leaving a bomb at an Austin clinic that performs abortions, he had with him, according to court documents, the name of the clinic and other names and addresses that could hint at greater plans.

<snip>

A later search of Evans' apartment, according to the plea agreement, found the following books: "Pipe and Fire Bomb Designs," "Special Forces Demolition Techniques," "The Turner Diaries" and "The Pelican Brief."

<snip>

Karen Slafter said Evans talked regularly about "conspiracy theories" involving the bombing and the federal siege on the Branch Davidian compound near Waco but didn't betray a political philosophy. He also didn't seem to be against abortion, she said. Slafter said that Evans was mentally ill, having suffered a traumatic brain injury that impairs his reasoning and social functioning.

<snip>

Prison officials didn't document any war tattoos but said that Evans has a depiction of two hands praying on one arm and a cross on the other.

Paul Ross Evans Besides clinic that performs abortions, 27-year-old had other names, addresses.

1. Does He Know Osama bin Laden

I wonder if they asked him that question. I wonder if they asked him about ties to known terrorist groups.

Of course, this administration probably doesn't consider people who want to blow up abortion clinics to be terrorists. They are merely misguided pro-lifers. OTOH, people who deface Hummers to protest the gas guzzling and those who damage empty construction sites to prevent development are terrorists.

:eyes:

added on edit: Regardless of the cause (abortion, animal rights, environment, peace, etc.), I do not condone violence or destruction of property as a means of political protest.
