UN body to probe abuses in Darfur

The UN Human Rights Council has agreed to send a team to investigate abuses
in Sudan's war-torn Darfur region.

But the world's top human rights body refrained from criticising Sudan's
government over the violence.

Sudan has been blamed for killings, rapes and destruction, but says it is being
unfairly targeted by the West.

Meanwhile, the US and Britain are considering the imposition of a no-fly zone
over Darfur if Sudan does not allow a UN force there, officials say.
