From Barbara Boxer: Fight global warming

http://ga6.org/campaign/citizen_cosponsor/forward/iwbk3... ?

I'm holding hearings. I'm listening to experts. I'm reading the research. I'm speaking out. I'm lobbying my colleagues.

Yes, day by day we're making progress in our fight against global warming. But before we move a bill out of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, I still need more votes -- and to do that, we still need more public support.

That's why I'm so pleased that more than 62,000 Americans have already signed on as citizen co-sponsors of the Sanders/Boxer bill to fight global warming.

But I need more citizen co-sponsors to get the votes we need in the Senate to pass this sweeping global warming legislation. Won't you help?

Thank you for signing on as a citizen co-sponsor of the Sanders/Boxer global warming bill. Now, please help us grow our momentum by inviting your friends and family to sign on as citizen co-sponsors as well!

The Sanders/Boxer bill addresses the global warming challenge head-on. Sanders/Boxer is the only bill that will truly work economy-wide, and it's been endorsed by a huge coalition of environmental organizations. It will significantly reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, allow for a "cap and trade" program, and require utilities to generate or purchase an increasing amount of renewable energy.

Sanders/Boxer is the legislation we need to pass to truly make a difference in the fight against global warming. But I can't get this bill passed without more support from my Senate colleagues -- and to do that I need your help.

Please join me in speaking out, standing up, and making your voice heard in the fight against global warming.

Please invite your friends and family to sign on as citizen co-sponsors of the Sanders/Boxer global warming bill now!

Next week, just a few days before Earth Day, I'll be delivering a major speech on global warming and the environment. How great it will be to be able to report on the tens of thousands of Americans who are standing with me in this critical fight.

That's why I'm turning to you, right now. Will you help?

Please invite your friends and family to sign on as citizen co-sponsors of the Sanders/Boxer global warming bill now!

Thank you so much for your continued support.

In Friendship,

Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senator

P.S. Don't forget to invite your friends and family to sign on as citizen cosponsors of Sanders/Boxer! Help me build a groundswell of public support for this critical legislation from coast-to-coast!

1. 3 cheers for Boxer!!!
what a great person! I'll never forget that moment when she told Inhofe that he no longer sets the rules while holding up her gavel (like she was about ready to smack him up broadside on his head)! :toast: :bounce: :kick: :kick: :kick:

2. perhaps California should go first
every state keeps a 'greenhouse gas inventory'

it would be an inspiration to the world
for California to have a successful carbon reduction effort.

somebody has to go first,
