Wheat Rust Spreading In Australia, Possible Climate LInk
Climate change could cause the the fungal grain disease wheat rust to spread.

Dr Rick Ward heads the Global Rust Initiative and says fluctuating weather patterns are making it harder to predict the movement of the virus.

He says regions that have never been hit before could now be in danger and work needs to concentrate on developing rust resistant wheat varieties.

1. Unfortunately, "fluctuating weather patterns" are making it damned near
impossible to predict ANYTHING in agriculture. This is going to get REAL ugly.
