Liberals want to stock fish farms with wild sturgeon

Actually, Canada seems to be trying harder to restore fish species population crashes moreso than we are. They have an atrocious record for overfishing as indicated by the cod wars, but are trying to turn it around. We on the other hand, have scum like Rove, a high school grad with no relevant expertise, making bad decisions regarding our aquatic/fishery policy.

The B.C. government is proposing to catch white sturgeon from the lower Fraser River as part of a controversial policy to foster an aquaculture industry for the endangered species.

A policy document from the ministry of agriculture, fisheries and food suggests capturing 10 to 15 sturgeon per year over five years to provide the genetic brood stock to boost the industry, currently limited to one farm in Sechelt.

Like when the Lake Sturgeon was returned to the French Broad River in Tennessee. It was the state of TN, and not the Feds, that did it.
