Have gas prices skyrocketed overnight in your 'hood?
Edited on Wed May-10-06 07:31 PM by marmar
When I went to sleep last night, regular unleaded was $2.75 per gallon. When I left for work this morning, it was $2.95 per gallon.
Is it the same everywhere else in the country, or is the gas cartel picking on Michigan?

4. I know...
I almost feel bad for employees of gas stations without the digital price signs.

7. I'm in far SW Michigan.
Prices here (and in NW Indiana) jump 15 to 20 cents (usually) every Wednesday or Thursday. It supposedly has something to do with when the new delivery comes in. Prices usually drop back down 10 cents (or more) within two days.

8. $3.40 yesterday in CA
Yesterday I drove by the Arco station, usually the cheapest one in town. Regular gas was $3.40/gallon here in the CA Central Coast.

9. We've been paying $3.35 for a week now. Noplace cheaper in the
neighborhood, either. And that's for 87 octane regular.

11. We have stricter pollution control laws, and I think the oil companies
tack on a premium to their prices to punish us.
