Halliburton Begins Series of Price Hikes (oil business)

DALLAS (AP) -

Oilfield services conglomerate Halliburton Co. told analysts on Friday that it has begun a series of price increases driven by a strong demand.

This comes one day after Halliburton reported a 33 percent net income boost in the first-quarter, driven largely by strong rig activity and increased pricing.

"Pushing through price increases when our customers' contracts turn over, both in the U.S. and internationally, is a management priority," Halliburton Chief Operating Officer Andy Lane said.
