climate change projections

may I ask what may be a stupid question, please?

from what I understand, with global warming, the polar extremities melt, which releases cooler water into the ocean, which changes the course of the gulf stream, which is expected to result in colder climates in Europe.

is the expected result a drastic cooling of all areas of the globe, or will equatorial regions have different climate changes?

what about the U.S.?

in the near trend and long trend, what are the expected temp. changes?

will places like Toronto become even colder? will places like Texas become more desertified?

is there a reputable site to view projections?

I wonder if these same trends would hold with a major change in the gulf stream, though.

the places which are cooling down also look like they are places along the route of the Mississippi, and ones that get Gulf winds and Lake effect climate changes.
