1. Do you live in a Red state?
I see 10 a day easy.

3. 10 a day? I see 10 or more dropping my kid off at school in the AM!
But then again I live in Santa Cruz County, California! :)

Home of the highest gas prices in the country. :(

8. I was about to say.

Other than the one I'm driving, I have a hard time keeping count.

I haven't seen any Lexis 300h's or Ford Escape Hybrids yet though -- but it'll be a while till my eye learns to pick them out.

5. We've Got One Just Like That
Kind of like an alien spacecraft pretending to be a car, but that is part of its appeal.

6. Blue 2005 Prius here!
I've had mine for about a month and I LOVE IT SO MUCH! It's the greatest.

Have you been to http://www.priuschat.com? It's a great BBS for Prius owners. You can get info there on how to disable the reverse beep, the seatbelt beep, and how to fix it so you can program the GPS while the car's in motion.... i've only barely begun to scratch the surface.

9. Man, I have a 2002.

And I'm not expecting to replace the batteries for years and years and years.

Toyota babied those batteries like nothing. They've got uber temp sensors and they never let them run past the safe points for endurance.

(On edit: I don't know who said it but "Most batteries do not die a natural death. The majority are murdered.")

14. I don't know...
The guy at the dealership said to his knowledge you never had to replace the battery. But I have heard that after about 7 or 8 years you're probably going to need a new one. Thing is, the Prius hasn't even been around for 7 or 8 years so nobody really knows. I bet you could find the answer over at priuschat.com!

11. But have you ever leaned over the hood and hugged your Prius?
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 04:34 AM by lady lib
I'm thinking not. I have, so I love my blue Prius MORE than you love yours. Hehehe!

12. One of the big problems of the car
- its style. I see those, want to have a hybrid car, but the style makes me shudder.

Kinda along the line of needing a NASCAR-level event for electric/hybrid cars . . . make it a contest to see how well your eco-friendly car can perform (with national coverage) . . .

13. Well, different strokes, I guess
Got mine back in July of 2001. It's the original - even chunkier and clunkier than the current model, and I love it.

You might consider the hybrid Accord - if you're a Honda fan, that is.

:hi:

...take your pick. Hybrids abound.
