4 Of China's Top 10 Most-Polluted Cities In Single Province - Xinhua
BEIJING, June 2 (Xinhuanet) -- "North China's coal-rich Shanxi Province had four of the 10 most polluted Chinese cities in 2004, according to the first report of China's city environmental protection released here on Thursday.

The report discloses the air pollution figures in 113 key Chinese cities in 2004, and gives the names of ten most polluted and ten cleanest cities.

All four polluted cities in Shangxi, including Linfen, Yangquan, Datong and Changzhi, are major coal producers of the province, which accounts for the country's one-fourth coal production.

All ten most polluted cities are located in the country's less developed central and west regions where frequent sand storms often occur. China's newest Municipality Chongqing along the Yangtze River is also included in the most polluted cities while the others include Jinchang, Yibin, Zhuzhou, Jiaozuo and Panzhihua, according to the report."

2. This is what America would look like if we had not enacted
the Clean Air Act.

In fact, this is what 'Merica looked like before the CAA.

Thank a Liberal Do-Gooder Environmentalist/Terrorist for what we have here today.

:)
