Australia moves forward with hemp
Along with many other countries that are leaving us behind.

Sydney gets its first hemp farm

IN Richard Friar's opinion the world would be a much better place if everyone started the day sprinkling hemp on their Weet-Bix.

The organic farmer and peace activist is cultivating Sydney's first industrial hemp crop, which he hopes will be part of a farming revolution.

Mr Friar said the extremely versatile plant had no less than 35,000 uses-from food to building materials-although he was unable to name all of them off the top of his head.

The plant can be used to make a flexible type of concrete, a fibreglass composite used to build cars, paper, fabric and biofuel.

2. You could probably mix a little in with the hemp butter!

3. No, but you could try using a little less.
Apply about 1/2 as much Vegemite as you do butter.

And try it on toast.

4. I have some shorts that were made of hemp cloth,
going on three maybe four years old and they are by far the most comfortable clothes I've put on my body and are as tough as nails. Without hemp ropes the Europeans would have been years longer in finding this place. I'm not proud of the way we stole this place either, in fact I'd rather be 100% Cherokee as the 1/8 I am now

5. I wish we would do this.
But that would require us to make an adult decision about practicality over moral neurosis, or whatever the fuck it is that fuels our War On Drugs fervor.
