Chevron = hypocrisy

Good old Chevron.
Wasn't that Condi's company?
And how about that Trent Lott?

I Will Point Out Hypocrisy

WASHINGTON - In train stations, at bus stops, online, even on our coffee cups, Chevron ads are trying to convince us that the key to ending our energy crisis is individual action. Over pictures of everyday Americans, taglines from Chevron’s “Will You Join Us” ad campaign read:

“I will leave the car at home more.”
“I will take my golf clubs out of the trunk.”
“I will replace 3 light bulbs with CFLs.”
“I will finally get a programmable thermostat.”
“I will consider buying a hybrid.”

All good ideas, certainly, but no matter how many clubs they’re carrying in their golf bags, no matter how many light bulbs they change, no matter how hard they consider that hybrid, the folks at Chevron could probably do a little more.

Here are a few suggestions for Chevron’s ad team:

1. There's no doubt the CEO's need to have a not-so-wonderful Christmas
but the companies need to be saved.
We NEED the auto industry that is IN place in the US.
Probably all that's keeping the US economy from completely going over the edge right now is the industry... not just the jobs making cars, but EVERYTHING around it, attached at the hip to making and selling cars.
if they go, there goes the economy.
it's not just about making cars,
it's about PAYING those people WHO MAKE the cars, and all the support that is around that industry.
THAT is what will tank the economy.

I literally can not understand the mentality of the GOPers who seem to be fiddling while Rome burns... I just can not fathom that kind of evil, and I can imagine a lot.

3. "This isn't a liberal or conservative issue"
Every time I see that commercial on Countdown, I want to kick the TV.
