Selling dial-up Internet access may seem like a dying business, as waves of Web surfers defect from leading Internet service providers America Online, MSN and EarthLink. But there’s a vibrant dial-up market blossoming below the industry leaders as computer users flock to no-frills access priced under $10 per month.

I don't know anyone who pays more than $10 a month for dial-up. Saving $10 a month might not seem like much, but I'm sure I can find something to do with the $120 a year I save.

3. Presumably many are going to Cable or broadband, but...

...there are still an awful lot of people out there who aren't on the internet. If the price is low enough, they can be tempted on - and there are plenty of low-bandwidth things you can do (e-mail, newsgroups, forums like this) that it will always have a niche.
