Unemployment: State by State
http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/state_unemployment/

An interesting table for battleground trackers.

No wonder I haven't seen any increase in "help wanted" ads. I live in Oregon, tops in unemployment.

1. This has to be bullsh*t....
I know the umemployment rate is higher than 6.0% in Illinois. Where I live, it has to be 9 or 10 percent. I know it is even more depressed to the south.

2. Isn't it great that the unemployment rate is down so much, so
everyone working part time jobs (since there aren't many full time jobs)and have no benefits, need to say "thank you pResident Bush". Isn't he a hero for all he is doing for the people of this country? (He is one sorry, lying, manipulating piece of crap)
ELECT KERRY 2004!!!!

3. Here's the numbers from Illinois Department of Employment Security
An interesting name

Figures are based on local data. I think you have a Democratic Senate, House and Governor, so I doubt the data is fraudulent.

If you're in the Rockford or Kankakee areas you aren't far off. Both dropped from right around 9% last month to the low 8s this month.

I don't know the population density of the ten different regions tracked, but 6% is reasonable with the figures given.

4. Yes, I do live in the Rockford area, at least it is the closest large
city, and the Democrats run things here now, for the first time in many years. Our former repuke governor is going to stand trial soon. Many of the people around him are already headed to jail.

I still don't believe those figures. They do not include people who have run out of benefits, who are not reporting, and who work a couple of part time jobs. Things are bad here. The figures do not tell the whole story.
