"Lets call it economic darwinism.."
"If you can't pay your motgage, or your credit card bills, or the repo man has you car...you prob shouldn't have had a house, car or credit card to begin with.
let the idiots become extinct or go back to europe and suck the dole dry"
and
"how the socialists in the U.S government forced Wall Street and major banks to
make loans to people who could never repay them."

One of many comments from this aritcle about
" what is happening to the Irish welfare state. "

1. "give me the head of Willie the mailroom boy!"
It is common in corporate America to find the most powerless individual involved with some sort of mis-deed, and pile the full blame on that person.

It dodges any management responsibility and conveniently makes a scapegoat out of the person least able to fight back.

The tactic is so common that it is satirized in Dilbert.

Blaming lower income people for an economic collapse, while absolving the corporate elite who supposedly govern the system, is the same type of game

4. they are only upset that lower and middle income people have run out of money
since they have spent the last ten years or so bleeding those people dry. High rates on credit cards. the housing bubble, putting all our savings in the stock market for them to play with, Home equity loans, reverse mortgages, high priced SUVs and not to mention the cost of higher education. Our savings went down and down til we only had debt and nothing to pay it with. Then, they shipped jobs overseas.

3. how the socialists in the U.S government forced Wall Street and major banks to...
That line is golden. The Bush socialism forced the banks to make the loans. Of course any study reveals it was the lack of oversight that let the mess happen, president Bush was not a socialist nor did he pursue socialist policies. This puts conservatives in an interesting place: Will it be that whenever their guy gets in, they will observe "socialism" advancing, because of damage done to the economy from lack of oversight? Yet if a Democrat succeeds in fixing the said problems, they will observe "capitalism" advancing? Talk about bizzarro world.
