Geesh, is copper/zinc/aluminum getting slammed. I just received notice of new metals increases, I thought I'd share the jist of it here (cash buy/spot, based on the LME per metric ton (2200 lbs))-

3. This is why

there is suddenly so much more theft of metals. I get theft alerts in email from ISRI every week, sometimes a few per week.

4. Every one of them has seen a big jump this year

meaning that metals prices are all tracking the true inflation rate. Aluminum alloy has gone up 50% in a little over a year, and it's inflation is modest compared to the rest.

The increase in gas prices is nothing, I'm afraid, compared to what's on the way.

We're about to live in interesting times.
