Thoughts on the Ludwig von Mises Institute (mises.org) site?
Visited the site today, and some of the articles had very disturbing titles (and contents). Thought this was supposed to be a good economic website...

Markets, Not Unions, Gave us Leisure

All Hail Free Trade (and Henry George)

3. BIG following among the far right.

The FAR, FAR, FAR right. As in, the people who think paper money is a part of a conspiracy involving communists and <*ahem*> "international bankers" (they don't openly say "international Jews" anymore, but you get the idea).

4. I find some of the articles on economics there quite interesting. You'll
see it referenced at "gold-bug" and Libertarian sites quite often. I occasionally post articles from the "Austrian school" on the Stock Market Watch thread here at DU.

I don't believe you need to agree with every single point made in articles your read anywhere. Personally, I like to read controversial articles, but that's just me. Gets pretty boring reading stuff that you totally agree with (if you can find it). I like the challenge of reading something that I might start out agreeing with (like when they rip on Greenspan) and then getting slapped in the face with a paragraph that completely rubs me the wrong way. Helps me to keep an inquiring mind that leads to strengthening some of my ideas and beliefs and honestly questioning others.
