I absolutely despise GWB, and Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, and Rove. I have never felt so strongly negative about another human being in my life, and now I feel it about five. They are evil, rotten men. They make me want to believe in the Christian notion of hell, so that I can imagine them burning in it for the rest of eternity. I cannnot understand why it's even up for debate whether or not they should be allowed to remain in the White House. They should be rotting in prison, not running for reelection. How can this be happening? What is wrong with people? I seriously cannot even wrap my mind around the notion of supporting BushCo. I loathe him and his minions.

6. I've often wondered how people can still support them.

I mean, I know I am a hardcore Dem. Definitely. Only voted outside my party once for a third party candidate in 22 years. However, if we had a Dem president that has lied and done harm as this president has done to our country, I would NOT vote for him again! I was just telling my spouse this. I somehow think getting a blow job in the oval office is not near as bad as lying about reasons for going to war and sending men and women to die when I didn't have a clear-cut plan for exit or even covering up my service record! I just saw GWB and Cheney pretending to be all solemn for a 9/11 memorial at the White House and it made me sick. In their heads they were probably counting all the money they've made off of the memory of the 9/11 victims. If I were a family member of a victim, I would spit on them.

I believe that there's more people out there that feel the same way you and I do. I didn't care much about politics before I saw the atrocities being committed by our government. From what I understand, the polls that show Bush and Kerry neck and neck only polled people who voted in the last election. Bush has pissed a lot of people off. There will be many new voters on November 2nd. I think we'll see a record turnout of young voters, judging by the people I have talked to on my campus (Middle Tennessee State University). Just that could be enough to tip the scale in our favor. Only about 8 weeks to go...

I am a public high school teacher in SC and many of my students openly support bu$h, but hey, this is a red(-neck) state. There are quite a few who are now 18 and this will be their first time voting and they say that they have already made their decision for chimpy. When I tell them about the two bills in Congress which are calling for reinstatement of the draft to cover the shortage of troops needed for the oil wars (if I used this term openly in class, I would be reprimanded, so I try to be as neutral as possible), they stare at me in disbelief. Many tell me that they do not believe me, or that if it does happen, it will never happen to them personally. Then I hear how they can beat the draft even if it is reinstated. My school district is located in a rather wealthy region of the state (there are two South Carolinas: a very distinct line between the haves and the have-nots) and maybe 'Cheney-itis' is contagious; you know, gutsy as heck with other people's blood, but not their own. It wrenches my gut every time I think about how my vote for Kerry will not count (actually be swallowed up in a sea of ignorance) because of the Electoral College system.

BTW, I'm currently applying for a position at a regional university in a relatively poor section of SC where I can help young people become the first ones in their families earn a college education. I can't tell you how it feels to be the parent of one of those kids, but to be one of those kids...that hurts. I'm 17, and will 18 in March. As you can see, I'm in the worst possible position. We will not be out of Iraq by March, so I'll be old enough to go fight in Bush's war, but not old enough to vote against him in November (damn you, Mom and Dad!). If there is a draft, I'll be on the line. I have to fill out the selective service form soon, and I'm not really sure what to do. My parents want me to register as a consciencious objector, but I'm not a complete pacifist, In my opinion, some war can be justified (WWII for example), but not this war. To me, lying (well, not telling the whole truth) on a public document makes me feels like, well, the Shrub. One of my better friends has enlisted for one very good reason: he needs the money to pay for college. He graduates this year I think, and then it's off to boot camp. Just think, if Bush hadn't shifted the tax burden to the poor, he wouldn't have to join up! Vent on!

I wouldn't be too concerned about being drafted. The only person who has suggested reinstating it is actually a Democrat, not a Republican. I have done extensive research on it, and I'm very confused by Kerry's statement that Bush is considering reinstating the draft. As quoted in The Hill (a newspaper for and about Congress), "The possibility of reinstating the draft gained attention when Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) proposed the Universal National Service Act in January 2003." Also quoted is Wesley Clark, a former presidential hopeful who has now endorsed Kerry, warned that the volunteer-force concept is at “grave risk” and that the draft should be the last resort. He said, “We better be thinking about the draft or have it as a fallback. We’ve got to be honest with the commitment that we’re faced with. We’ve got about two years to fix these problems before the bill comes due.”

My point is that you have no reason to be concerned. We should be questioning our own party and the leaders of our party about why they have not only suggested reinstating the draft, but why Senator Kerry is blatantly lying about who has suggested it.

22. Make a Case

Venting is good. It releases a great deal of negative energy and flows it out into the air, where is disappears.

When you vent, there are three ways to do it. 2 are constructive to the cause, one is constructive only to the ventor...

When you vent (1) vent with facts.
When you vent (2) vent with things you have seen personally.
When you vent (3) let go of all those rotten, nasty, and dirty emotions you have lurking around your mind.

Two of these types of venting actually help. One just spews. Nothing personal. I just really would like to see a more substantive venting. I want to hate a war-monger just like we all do. I doubt if we can complain about something unless we can sound convincing.

Ok, when you read this, you may think i'm just some right wing wacko who stumbled onto this forum just to piss you all off, well its not so. I'm a 14 year old high school student doing a project on the lies, scandals, and rumors created by the two major political presidential candidates, Bush and Kerry. I'm digging up dirt on both, and not only that, but i'm going to examine several different media sources and search for a bias, and try to report that. but anyway, I was wondering if someone could tell me what Bush lied about? Ive heard lots of people say stuff like, "Bush lies!" and "Bush lies, who dies!?" I would really appreciate it if some people could post here what Bush lied about, when he did and what speach he said it from, or if it was from something else PLEASE cite your sources so I can look into it. It would be extremely appreciated. I would also just like to state that I am neither a Democrat or a Republican, although I do believe in more of what the Republicans believe, I would not label myself one. And I know this should have its own thread, that would make it alot easier, but I aparently don't have enough previous posts to make a thread. :(

I don't think that these men are evil, I think they truly believe that what they are doing is right and just, but this doesn't mean it is right. They are so ignorant and narrow-minded that they just don't see any other side of issues other than what they want to see. They turn grey issues into issues of black and white. Grey issues should never be black and white, there are too many good and bad things about them.
And about your comment about how this can be happening is quite simple to answer. I live in one of the most conservative counties in the state of Texas where the Republican party is the only party and anyone in other parties might as well not run because they don't have a chance. The reason they don't have a chance is because people blindly vote for someone solely based on the candidate's political, not on the issues the candidate represents. That is how this is all happening. People are just too ignorant and narrow-minded to realize who and why they are voting for someone.

Sorry I am so late grace. I join you in your loathing of President Bush and company. I despise the man and his troop as much as any conservative despised Clinton.

I only wish the "October surprise" was something so dispicable that not even the Republican leaders in the Congress could sweep it under the rug and they have no choice but to impeach him.

I want to really rant, question his intelligence, parentage, many things. If I do that then I lower myself to what I see Rove and other speakers of the Neo-Republicans doing and I won't do that.

The shallowness of the supporters of Bush leaves me flabbergasted. How can anyone call themselves intelligent support Bush and accuse Kerry of changing positions in one breath? Haven't any of his supporters read 1984, can't they see he changes his reasons in light of new data but stays with the same conviction, I am right. Are they truly blind accepting each new explanation as if it has always been the explanation?
