most orwellian moment of * tenure
please share your pick for the most orwellian moment/tactic of the * circus. you know, like calling a plan to allow the timber industry to run wild in national forests the "pristine forests initiative". i am working on some new buttons on this theme, and don't want to forget any really golden moments. thanks in advance.

3. The Healthy Forests Initiative
which opened thousands upon thousands of acres to logging.

The clear skies act which allowed for increased air pollution.

Oh, we will never forget his 'commitment to honor our servicepeople' by cutting veterans benefits.

Or his 'jobs and growth package' which cut taxes dramatically (for "working families" of course) during heavily increased spending which means us "working people" will be paying heavily confiscatory taxes in the future.

His claims of compassionate conservatism.

the list goes on and on

5. An image from the selection 2000 fiasco that I will never forget.....
There was a photo of Florida State Troopers taking control of the ballot boxes. It gave me chills and I thought "that's it!, they've destroyed our democracy"! I still believe that day was the turning point.
