Poll question: Worst daily U.S. newspaper?
The criteria here are twofold: degree of rage-inducing repuke whoredom, and general all-around lousiness. You may weight these factors as you see fit.

Note that the two, while strongly correlated, are not necessarily the same thing: the Wall Street Journal, for instance, is often quite readable as long as the word "Clinton" does not appear in a given article, and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin has much better writing and features than its competitor the Advertiser, while at the same time being almost a parody of an old-line, big-business repuke paper.

10. The Albuquerque Journal
Mere words are inadequate to describe the stench emanating from this wretched exercise in right wing inadequacy. Perhaps today's issue was transported back in time and used to wrap stinkbait on the way to the pier. Perhaps it's only the natural aroma emanating from their hysterically right wing editorial page, their heavily abridged and dumbed-down stories from AP, or even the unfunny comics page that features Beetle Bailey and Prince Valiant. This paper is for semiliterate morons, and contains four times as much space devoted to advertising as to their deplorable print articles.

The Boston Herald was self-consciously intellectual compared to this vile rag.

13. The Grand Rapids Puke - PRESS, I mean, Press
Edited on Wed Jun-09-04 10:30 PM by ih8thegop
One of only two or three papers in the state to not endorse Jennifer Granholm for Governor. Of course, the GOP nominee, Dick Posthumus, lives in a town just east of Grand Rapids, so it wasn't a surprise.

A couple of their headlines in late 2002 included "Democrats grieve, fear Senate shift" (instead of, say, "Senator dies in plane crash") and "It's her time now: Granholm must face budget woes, Republican Legislature" (instead of, "GRANHOLM WINS" or, as the Free Press called it, "SHE'S THE BOSS").

I hesitate to read the paper on November 3 and reading either Bush weins landslide" or "Kerry win tempered by (idiotic reason here)." I swear I will cancel my Press subscription if they do that.

14. Dang - Didn't see USA Today there and voted other
My mistake - but really: USA Today has little content, and what it does have is half crappy entertainment news and the rest is oft biased news selectively picked from the AP a day after running in other papers

16. Lookee here
Here's an interesting link about who newspapers endorsed in the 2000 'election'. You can tell just by the mere numbers of newspapers that endorsed Bush that the media is mostly right-wing. Also, find out which newspapers are legit and which aren't.

(Scroll down a little and you'll find the newspaper endorsements)

25. Moonie times by a nose of the NY Post
The Moonie times is a paper I would not even wipe my you-know-what with. But on a related note I did put a copy of the NY Post under my birds cage and the poor thing had constipation! Both papers are nothing more that propaganda rags only to benifit the people that own them and crooked " freinds "
I STILL cannot belive that the public will buy them knowing that one is owned by a cult leader and the other is owned by um... a cult leader..Now im confused :)
