What do you guys think?

Do you all know of any shows or TV/radio stations or print media that don't lean to the conservative or liberal side of issues?

1. Countdown
with Keith Olbermann, on MSNBC. Surprisingly well-balanced and thoughtful. Olbermann actually just asks questions of his interview subjects, and then gives them time to respond fully. No fake "Crossfire" set ups, no ambushes, no interruptions.

3. so far I've found
The Food Network
The DIY channel
and the channel that shows the guide

to be the only channels not whoring up bush*. Hell even the old standbys are running right-wing crap. History channel showing biblical stuff, Discovery Channel doing a special on The Da Vinci Code (hasn't anyone told them its non-fiction), The Biography Channel doing "The Rumsfeld Story" (his life is about as exciting as watching squirrels feed), TLC and the other discovery channels doing "The Evil Saddam" shows.

If the DIY channel starts showing R/C airplanes of the Iraq war I'm truely fucked. If the Food Network does "Dinner with Dick" then I'm lost. And if the channel guide shows ad's for USS Reagan caps then I'll buy a ham radio.

4. No just picking what goes on goes through a filter.
Then it must get through your own filter. Life and news is all like that. Read them all then use logic to think about them. Recall how you slant things as that will count. And try to see how others see it.

6. News World International

which is mostly Canadian, with regular English-language features from other countries.

Also, if you can get the International Channel, they have French and German newscasts which are subtitled.

For cultural programming, try Ovation, which is mostly BBC documentaries. Unfortunately, they keep rotating the same twenty programs, adding perhaps one or two new ones each month. If you haven't seen them, though, they're excellent.

Trio is another Canadian station, devoted to the odds and ends of pop culture. It is truly unclassifiable, although I've never seen a news program.

History International is better than the plain old basic cable History Channel. They show a lot of European and Asian-made documentaries, although they've been getting more militarized lately, too.

The most consistently high quality movies are on the Independent Film Channel and Sundance.

BBCAmerica is mostly shlocky home decorating and garden shows, but their mystery dramas on Monday nights are top of the line.
