People are turning increasingly to alternatives like the Internet for news about the presidential campaign, shifting away from traditional outlets like the nightly network news and newspapers, a poll found.

News-only cable networks are second only to local television news when people are asked to name where they regularly learn something about the campaign.

This just proves people are thirsty for real news, not the propaganda crap from corporate media. The rise in cable "news" is a bit disturbing however, glad to notice Democrats are beginning to see the light. Only 29% though, also how repubs see the media as biased against them is amazing. I do NOT see that at all and they never can give me examples when I ask them.

2. Actually, a big problem

with the internet as a new source is that it is so easy to get news tailored to your preconceptions. Sure, it's a diverse media, representating many viewpoints on many facets of many issues, but it doesn't come to you, you have to go to it. It's easier than you would think to surf the web and remain insulated.
