The drive was announced by Jeff Dailey, a former Clinton White House aide, now a Little Rock communications consultant, who said the effort is not affiliated with Clark.
“Everywhere I go, Arkansans are talking about General Clark as a well-rounded domestic and international leader who would make a great president at this critical time in our country’s history,” Dailey said.

In June, Clark criticized Bush’s foreign policy and called for greater U.S. engagement with its allies, face-to-face talks with North Korea and strengthening the war on terrorism, in part by attacking what he said were the roots of terror, poverty, deprivation and “voices of hate.”
He also said the president had squandered a $5 trillion budget surplus in two years, largely by borrowing to give large tax cuts to the rich.
