Just in (email) from the So Cal campaign headquarters:

COME JOIN DENNIS IN VENICE
Congressman and Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich will be joining the Community picket line/Rally. Show your support for UFCW
at Ralph's (Kroger Corp.)

I can't go; I'm already committed elsewhere. I wish I were free. I'd love to walk the talk with Dennis.

3. Yay Dennis!
I walked a couple of UFCW picket lines in Michigan a few years back when they were striking Krogers. (funny how some problem companies just keep on being problems).

5. He not only talks the talk...
but he walks the walk, too. He's not only a supporter of unions, he's a union member.

He's not only opposed to the WTO, he marched in Seattle against the WTO in 1999. How many members of Congress (or other politicians) have the balls to do that?

I've participated in many demonstrations (going back to the anti-Contra and anti-Nuke demos in the 1980s)and have been arrested for civil disobedience before. In my experiece, I've NEVER seen another politician make an effort to attend one of these demonstrations, unless the issue was so well known that it would not be "unusual" to be seen at it (i.e., a big anti-war rally that was unpopular with most of the world).

THAT's why I support him. I know he wouldn't be afraid to be arrested for his beliefs, like MLK and Daniel Berrigan. THAT's the kind of person I want leading my country.

:kick:

10. Not on the picket line, apparently.
Except for Dennis Kucinich.
