African Americans for Dean
Courtney Smith from Florida has launched an excellent new website, African Americans for Dean. From the homepage:

We now find ourselves in a never-ending nightmare. Thanks to Bush, we are now mired in an unnecessary and expensive war, ruined foreign relations with our long-standing allies, record unemployment, a record-breaking federal deficit, record-breaking numbers of Americans loosing their homes to foreclosure, record numbers of African American children living below the poverty line, bankrupt states, cuts in all types of aid programs and educational assistance for the most needy among us, a permanent cloud of anxiety and fear, unfair tax cuts for the wealthy, and the list of horrors just goes on and on....

The upcoming 2004 presidential election is by far one of the most critically important elections in the history of this country. It is our opportunity to remove Bush and his gang, and to return the country to the path of peace, prosperity and equal rights for all. We can, and must do this. Your help is needed NOW!

A much needed and welcome addition to the Dean "Family" of websites created by his supporters.

8. I am sure both of them will be happy that they made a site for them
I personally know of no better way to get those two on board. And we all know it takes a "White guy to speak out for civil rights of black people." Otherwise they would have to rely on people like Al Sharpton, Mosley Bruan, Jesse Jackson, and Martin Luther King Jr. Clearly Dean can do a better job, right?

10. Expressing opinions about Candidates is not banning someone
But direct attacks on people who make them are.

12. that's a deliberate misquote
Dean said that white politicians should do
more than talk about race in front of black
audiences, that they should talk about race
in front of white audiences.

In short, he was saying that standing up
to racism means actually arguing to the other
side, not just to the converted.

You know that's what he said, and you're spamming
DU with misinformation. You don't have to bash
Dean to support Clark, you know.

13. You hear what you want I admit
It is not word for word. But I know what I heard. I know that he is not very good with minorites, dumping toxic waste on them for one. Most polls show Dean way behind in the minority vote, and I know why.

15. "It is not word for word"
In other words: it's exactly what DU rules ridiculously don't allow to be talked about using the proper and accurate nouns and verbs.
