Noted in B.S. O'Lielly's "body language" expert's book, on McCain's lack of eye contact:
p 9: "When someone met my eyes and spoke in confident, strong tones, I would take another look."

p 51-52: "We tend to make more eye contact with people we like and agree with and less we dislike, disagree with, or are intimidated by. When you look another person in they eyes, you're saying that you feel good about yourself - you're confident, you're trustworthy, and you know what you're talking about."

p 236-: "Eye contact is crucial to demonstrating sincerity and establishing trust. In the United States, the inability to maintain eye contact is taken as a sign of disrespect ..."

1. Absense of eye contact can also mean
I'm lying.

4. I didn't know that about Aspergers Syndrome.
A couple of years ago I went for a learning disability test, and one of the findings was that I might have Aspergers. I was always a shy, geeky kid and had trouble looking people in the eye when I was young.

But I did think that McCain looked kind of shifty during the debate Friday night.

5. McCain May Actually Be Suffering Brain Damage
…courtesy of his hosts at the Hanoi Hilton.

Since he seems a lot worse than even a few years ago,
there could also be a bit of senility entering the mix.

But the scariest thing about him is is temper.

2. I tortured myself and watched some of the repub debates
on utube and he really didn't do anything different then he did to Obama, he looked straight ahead, a bit side to side (towards audience) but I couldn't find any frames in the one I watched that had him looking eye to eye to anyone. Most of the other debaters all turned to who was speaking, but not him. Now of course this was a debate with 10 candidates, 2007 NH. I just couldn't stomach watching anymore of the liars. I read somewhere that his lack of eye contact is his debating style....so that may just be? But I still think the ba$tard should have engaged our next president.
