Kucinich Campaign Site missing from Google, Yahoo searches?

Has anyone else noticed that when you search for "Dennis Kucinich" that the campaign site no longer appears in the results? It used to be the first one, but now it's gone.

You can scroll down and find the schedule page... but this really bothers me. I called the campaign HQ and let them know... has anyone else noticed this?

1. got an e-mail about it from the campaign

Evidently Google received numerous requests to list the site (even though it's already listed) and Google has a policy that lots of requests are spam, and because of this removed the site from the listing. The campaign recommended a 'Google bomb'.

I don't get why they would get requests to list the site. It's been the first result for months now. :shrug:

10. Kucinich for President

It comes up #1 when you put that in google. But Dennis Kucinich doesn't. Need some links to say Dennis Kucinich too, it seems to me, so both come up.

Still, I think Google can fix this all by themselves if they wanted to. And they should.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what comes up #1 is www.denniskucinich.us/
which is the Kucinich blog site,
and is NOT the official campaign site,
which is www.kucinich.us or www.kucinich.net.
These two are still missing from google
although you can get variant

towards bottom of page
if searching on "kucinich for president"

Searching "kucinich" still does not produce official campaign web site as it used to do consistently, although you can sometimes get some subpages such as www.kucinich.us/about.php

Today is the fifth day in a row of this phenomena. I know it used to work fine because I would go to web site all the time by simply googling kucinich.

Perhaps not the biggest deal in the world but annoying and undoubtedly decreases some traffic to kucinich.us

2. It worked for me

It was the 3rd result. The first was his Congressional site, the second was from an Activism and Peace page of his Congressional site, and the 3rd was www.denniskucinich.us

4. They must have got it re-listed

I got the earlier email about his presidential site getting removed from Google, probably for spamming their submission page. It's an easy mistake to make and many make it undeliberately.

Google is great, but it's also very fickle in some regards. I've gone afoul of it a couple of times for sites I've submitted (one was for my employer, and we got blackballed for a couple months :(. Unfortunately it didn't hurt too much and we got relisted after sending a few emails :P.

It has been missing since Friday. Kinda strange and obviously unfortunate. I hope it returns soon but today is fourth day so I'm not holding my breath. Kucinich.net was there on fri and sat but now its gone too! The campaign noted the problem in 12/13 e-mail from Swanson re "are polls wrong" which stated in pertinent part:

Yesterday, www.kucinich.us disappeared from Google and other
search engines. We have reason to believe that someone sent
very numerous requests to search engines requesting that the
site be listed (which it already was), and that as a result it
was removed. Google considers programs that submit to hundreds
of search engines at once as spam and removes sites using these
tools from its indexes. It's unlikely but conceivable that this
was even done by an overzealous supporter.

The last thing you should do is contact the search engines. We're
doing so. But you should do this right away: put a link to
www.kucinich.us on any website you control, and make the link use
the words "Kucinich for President," and put the www.kucinich.us
address in the signature of your Emails. Despite this setback,
the site had its biggest day ever yesterday, so this is no time

about it yesterday. Poor dear has been going through hell between that and the all out forum assault at the volunteer board!

As far as I know we were still not on Google then, but staff are working on getting it listed again, and the Google bomb is the best thing supporters can do.

for searches on 'kucinich for president' and 'dennis kucinich'

still doesn't work if you simply search "kucinich", which used to result in kucinich.us coming up first.

if you search on "kucinich for president" you get do get https://www.kucinich.us/

so that works ok
