http://www.weconverge.net/phpBB2/ http://www.truedemocracy.us/ Allies,
This week I’m FINALLY starting to resurface. Whew. I needed some recharge and rejuvenation time--deep fatigue after March 2. I hear that many of you who have been deeply involved in the Kucinich campaign have needed down time as well. I think it is good to respect these cycles so that we are operating in--a natural flow from our authentic passion rather than compulsiveness.
A few things are brewing now in the realm of new structures to carry campaign momentum forward. First, we are preparing a potent campaign for WeConverge.net. Besides launching the site and distributing cards, not that much has happened yet (partially because we each needed to generate income elsewhere.
However, we’ve got a strong sense that this new campaign (in stealth mode for now) will get it cooking in a BIG way. So I encourage you to sign up and get yourself in the system, starting to generate more events, connections, and conversations so that when the new campaign infrastructure goes live in approximately one week, things will be happening. If you have access to extensive emailing lists and would be willing to forward the campaign invite to them at a designated time, I would appreciate you letting me know (and give me the name and approximate size of the lists).
Second, I’ll be speaking in Berkeley this Sunday the 18th at 7 pm on Full Spectrum Activism as part of the Getting Real with Activists series. I’ll be joined by Sean Kelly, a professor at CIIS. Info below.
Third, there’s a great event shaping up for Sunday the 25th, 7 pm in Berkeley that we plan to create some mutual synergy with. It’s called Spirited Activism and focused on getting more of the consciousness camp into the race this year. Sylvia Boorsteain, Daniel Ellsberg, and other great speakers. Flier is below/attached.
Fourth, we’ve recently gone live with www.TrueDemocracy.us, which is the fastest, easiest-to-use, and sexiest online voter registration system available.
If you’d like to partner with us on this, you can simply link to the site or, for organizations, join the partner program:
[email protected]. We’ll be launching a Votivator newsletter to help you in outreach efforts as well, so sign up for that while you’re at it.
In spirit,
Stephen
