Has anybody attended a "Camp Wellstone" training seminar?
There is one very soon near me and I am very tempted to go. It is only $35.00! I don't know anyone who has attended, so please share what you know. I feel like I have a lot to learn before campaign 2004.

Or what do you know about these folks, the sponsors:

Wellstone Action in cooperation with the Partnership for America's Families is presenting the Camp Wellstone Training Programs in Ohio this fall. The Partnership is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization founded in 2003 to educate, register, and mobilize progressive voters.

I have a hunch that some rich Democrats (Soros?) are behind that organinzation.

1. Here is what I learned from the AFL_CIO website
"A new organization has been formed called The Partnership for America's
Families. The partnership plans to conduct an intensive campaign to mobilize
massive numbers of voters outside labor's ranks against the anti-worker,
anti-union policies of the Bush Administration, and to support a pro-working
families agenda. It will register, inform, engage and then turn out these
voters by combining modern communications and targeting mechanisms with
grassroots organizing. The partnership will apply the lessons we have
learned in activating union households to our natural allies, especially
African Americans, Latinos and working women. The partnership is ready to
begin its work now. The AFL-CIO will support this effort and encourages its
affiliates to do so as well. "

So it sounds like they are looking for people like us to attend.
Solidarity!
