I'm tired, alright?!?
Shouldn’t a president inspire confidence? On September 30 2004, John Kerry and George Bush took the stage to debate foreign policy and national security. Democrats and Republicans waited in the wings to spin the debate in their candidate’s favor.
But something extraordinary happened in those 90 minutes: Americans got an unplanned, unedited look at the candidates. We saw our president dazed, annoyed, confused, angry, detached.
For four years, George Bush has been portrayed as a strong leader. Yet he’s held fewer press conferences than any modern president; he refused to testify before the 9/11 Commission without Dick Cheney by his side. Even his campaign rallies are tightly controlled, usually with invited attendees required to sign a “loyalty oath.” On September 30, we saw why the Republican’s never wanted us to see the real George Bush.
This is our president, without a script, without a teleprompter, without a clue.We think it’s fair to evaluate the president on the criteria he established: that America needs a strong leader in a troubled time.
Can we afford a president who lacks certainty and credibility?John Kerry has demonstrated he has the courage, compassion and credibility to lead this country during a difficult time.
We trust John Kerry to take the job seriously. The full flyer, as well as others, can be downloaded at
