HELP!! What do I do?? My roommates are a bunch of gun-happy, George-lovin Texans. And... I'm... about... to... SNAP.

B = Annoying Roommate Brittany

Me: (after I've awoke from fainting) "Yeah, I can see that. I mean, we're talking about a guy that's been on vacation for 43% of his presidency, not to mention the fact that there's a war going on."
B: "You need vacations too."
Me: "I'm not the president of the US."
B: "Well, it's not like the war is THAT important anyways."
Me: "You're right, more and more soldiers are dying everyday. Tell ya what, when your boyfriend ends up getting drafted and all your smart friends have moved to Canada, look me up and THEN try to tell me this war isn't important. Oh and by the way, if you plan on having future kids, you might want to realize they could eventually be fatherless, jobless, and dead. Then, when they get older, make sure you tell them who you voted for."

But lack of funds and me totalling my car really doesn't help matters. The sad thing is, it's like this every day. I mean, B and her mom put together are enough to give me gray hairs before I turn 19 (in 6 months). Sheesh.

good luck...since it's a financial problem I guess you just have to live with it. Try to find as much activities outside the household to keep you occupied. Volunteer work at the local Art/Music center or something along those lines will put you in touch with a more liberal crowd.

I try to do a lot of things like that. I volunteer for hospice and work a lot as well. It was REALLY amusing during the Clark campaign. I have about 6 yard signs all around my room. Needless to say, they're not a big fan.

but i would suggest you not even talk to your roomies re: politics...it will only give you an ulcer. when you see them just talk about TV or music or some other common interest. unless they are sadists they will play along. Do you mean blonde means having to be nice? Or that it is nice to be a blond...? I respect you for your position either way...just curious...
