2. I was unemployed 9 months last year and so far 2 months this
year. I finally got a job selling magazine subsciptions instead of being a computer programmer. I am making 1 tenth of what I was making as programmer. Life has been great under Bush - NOT.

someone who comes and disturbs you when you're parked on a deserted country road having sex?

My apologies. It does have a double meaning now doesn't it?

5. Yeah.
I'm reading Bushwhacked now. It got me thinking if this was just an Iowa thing or if it was more widespread. Bushwhacking was a hoot. lol
Not so much fun on the other end.

6. It was a hoot if you were the one doing the bushwacking.
If you were the bushwackee it did a lot more than spoil the moment.

4. I have been most definitely bushwacked.
I had a really neat teaching gig lined up in Ecuador for my sabbatical. Turns out dubya took it upon his sorry self to cancel all foreign aid to Ecuador in retaliation for them refusing to sign a treaty to exempt his sorry ass from any future war crimes prosecution. Now the good folks in Ecuador hate Americans, just like most people on the planet do, so my little sabbatical gig fell by the wayside. He's had a very personal impact on me, and I won't forget it, as if I needed another reason. </rant>
