4. no moon yet tonight

Outside is the inky black of an overcast night without light
pollution. I stand outside with the dogs for a pee, and though
i can hear the ocean pounding the cliffs, there is no sign
of that ocean horizon.

Inside is a warm coal fire and happy warm dogs snoring on their
dog pillows... and the stone home is warm and alive in the midst of
a dark world.
