Does anyone know how to make flash movies?

I have had for some time several ideas I'd like to make into flash movies, but I don't know anything about it. How hard is it to learn? What will I need to have in order to learn how? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Try a great tool called "Swish". It's damn easy and one hell of a lot of fun.

If you are on Linux, however, you are SOL. But I keep dreaming.
