Is there any greater love than the love of your cats?
Even Evita was getting lovey with me last night. And Abbie is such a flirt - the guy will start drooling over me he's so excited to snuggle with me.

I dare ANYONE to find a love greater than Cat Love!

It's just so right!!

2. The love of one's dogs is just as great
if not greater.

Cats, God love 'em, are pretty self-reliant. Dogs want nothing more than to belong to a family.

4. I remember a time
when my son used to love to cuddle and even be in the same room as I.... but those days are long gone.

Curiously enough, my cats still love to cuddle and be in the same room as I.

Not that I love my son any less, mind you.... it's just different now.

14. ME-OW to that!
There are many 'wild' animals that can become
excellent companions. Even there, the cats are very hard to beat.

15. I'd have to agree, except I'd include dog love as being equal. . .

But how can anybody not love a little furball like this:

And based on the way he treats me at 4:30 in the morning, he loves me right back .. . . the sitting on my chest and purring as loudly as felinely possible is a pretty sure sign. The greeting me at the door when I get home from work is another good sign.

19. That is a gorgeous ball of fur!
Such a dignified face! Is he by any chance a Ragdoll?--he sort of has that look, although the coloring would be a little unusual.

We have three cats, two oldsters of 15 and a one-year old Ragdoll kitten who is as big as the adults. All three greet us when we come home, and love to snuggle in their own individual ways. Muji the kitten loves to head-butt to show his people-love.

20. I have no idea what breed he is :)
The vet just lists him as domestic long hair.

Dignified? Nah, he's a complete goofball :)

27. LOL, well, dignified or not...
...he will be one beautiful cat when he's grown. He's already beautiful.

Ragdolls are called that because they're famous for going limp when you pick them up. They're extraordinarily graceful, even for cats, and love to stretch out to their full length. They're the biggest domestic breed and reach an *average* of 12-14 punda after 4 years growth (we thought we were getting a small Tonkinese--NOT!). They also love to get into water--toilet, shower, mess with the water bowl, etc.

Also known for being inseparable from their owners without being extremely clingy--they just like to plop down at your feet, share the bathroom, shower, anywhere and everywhere. And they have very high pitched musical trilling voices. I have yet to hear Muji utter an actual "meow," it's always a series of chirps and squeaks.

So if any of that sounds like your kittie, maybe he is one

Dirk

16. Hmmm.... a tough call.
There's no doubt in my mind that Sid loves me dearly, because he cuddles, purrs, grooms, etc. every chance he gets, BUT...

It's rather hard to ignore Grover's shaggy, golden head resting on my knee at the moment, and the adoring, soulful brown eyes staring up at me, proclaiming to any who bother to notice "I love my dad SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo much!".

:D

17. Yes, the love of my dog.
But I'm not sure if she really loves me. I think she just tolerates me because I'm her meal ticket.

18. tough to find a sweeter, cuddlier love
One of my cats cuddled up in bed with me this morning, after the alarm went off, of course, and complained when I started to get up. So I stayed a little while.

Or man, if that's what you're into. But really, women do a much better job of it.

edit: I know the difference between your and you're - it's just that sometimes my fingers don't

Beats the heck outta some cat purring on your chest...hey, that is sorta cool.
But nope, the guys doing the greeting puts a lump in my throat.
The cat thing is just kinda cool.
