...The Friends of Felines Rescue Center, located just south of Defiance, has garnered the attention of millions of viewers who have tuned in to watch the center's live, day-to-day activities via webcam and site on U-Stream. The care facility houses anywhere from 80-100 abandoned or abused cats that may be adopted....
...The webcam first went live in October of 2009 and it was in December of that year that the center went full-force with the idea and began broadcasting live 24/7. It can be viewed online at: www.ustream.tv/ffrc...
...The site has steadily grown and has since earned more 1.3 million views. The Friends of Felines' site is also regularly featured on the U-Stream's main website. In just the past six months, the center has added audio to the stream, which allows volunteers to interact with the webcam viewers throughout the day. Viewers can login and chat with one another while they watch while volunteers at the center can read the comments and responded back live...
