2. there were a few disturbing scenes, as usual, but (SPOILERS)
what Shane did to Otis just curdled my blood. Understandable, in a way, but jeebus it was wicked.

No idea how Shane will be able to live with himself. Probably thought it was the only way to save himself and Carl, but still :scared:

Still no sign of Sophia.

Shane did get back with the items needed for the vet to operate on Carl, who made it through the operation (though hasn't woken up yet post-op).

3. This is a great example of why I love this show

Every week the writers make you think, 'if I were in that situation, what would I do?' Would we do the same thing that Carl did in order to save ourselves?

4. You know, I HATE zombie shit. Hate all this fascination with it, hate the imagery, just hate it
but I find the show - the situation (doesn't have to be zombie-based) riveting.

Wish there weren't such gruesome visuals, though. I have to turn the channel too much; I'd totally be able to follow the story without those damn zombies everywhere.

5. It is pretty darn gruesome

but it doesn't bother me, it's the way it is in zombie world.

Another interesting thought I had . . . the way Rick's wife was looking a Carl when he got back with the supplies, like she has an epipheny, tht he must really love her intensely to go through what he did to save her son. She may start to give in to him? The stress and living on the edge of life and death seems to affect people in strange ways, everything is bigger and accelerated. I don't know if I'm explaining the best way, but I know what I'm saying . . . sort of, lol. I just know I've always had a thing for movies and stories like that, specifically, apocalyptic-end-of-the-world stories. The epic fight of good vs evil. Zombies, contagions, alien creatures, biblical, people on the run. It all works for me, if it's well done, that is. The Stand is one of my all time favorite books.

6. Carl is actually the son
and Shane is the D-bag that killed Otis.

7. I think Shane was finally pushed over the edge.

The zombie apocalypse will do that to you. I think he will be a lot meaner from now on.
