My father's last sibbling passed away today
Aunt Raquel, the youngest, and one of the four redheads in the family.

Now my generation are the elders of the family.

1. My dear Xipe Totec...
Ah, that's a tough place to be, sweetie...

It's a scary thing to contemplate, that now the mantle rests on you...

2. My Aunt is the last in her family of her generation.
When she goes we will be the elder generation.

My Mother has one brother left and he is in a nursing home.

Sorry to hear about your Aunt.

4. I'm so sorry, XT.
My mom, being the last sibling of her family, is the one my cousin turns to when she wants to talk about her mom, my aunt, or about old times. It must be an awful feeling when all the elders are gone & there's no one left to answer questions that may occur to you going forward.

5. My deep regret is that I never interviewed her
I planned on doing it this August, but the time just flew.

A major clue to the Irish ancestry of our Mexican family now rests in her grave.

I am heartbroken.

12. I had a feeling that loose ends was bothering you.

It's how I would feel.

Perhaps one of your dad's siblings was more talkative & reflective to their children & one of these cousins could be of help to you.

13. She was the last
Last of the siblings, and the last of the 'colorados' the redheads in the family, with first hand knowledge of whence they came.

All descendants of a woman with the curious last name of 'Oaxaca', fair skinned, red headed, green eyed Mexicans.
